A Preview of Me

My background in the military —and past life as a music student and journalist— gives me a critically important skill set in engineering. The ability to think outside of the box for simple, but effective solutions to problems. I will always strive to find the solution to problems and puzzles. I thrive in environments that give me a good challenge and allow me to express myself in my solutions.

In many ways people view engineering —and STEM fields overall— in a way that masks them as uncreative pursuits. I firmly believe that to be untrue. Oweing to my time in the art world and within the humanities sphere in general I have come to view the STEM fields as a unique form of art and artistic impression all their own. Much like art, that most would think of with that term, it also causes confusion, anger, frustration, and —most importantly— breath taking and soul shattering moments of awe and wonder.

Project Snapshot

Currently designing a 'Glide-Back-Booster' style rockety recovery system. Loosly based on the boosters of the Energia-Buran Soviet space shuttle and the Langley Research Center's Glide-Back-Booster developed for similar purposes as the Soviet designs.

What I’m exploring now:

Simple implementation of rocket design. E.G. The best way to make a modular rocket for high power rocketry (HPR) without the use of things such as epoxy and adhesive.

Attempting —operative word there— to re-read 'For Whom The Bell Tolls' by Ernest Hemingway
